02:56:10 [timbl]
I am playing with it a bit.
02:59:23 [timbl]
I have it recording what happens when the tabulator does fetch and the briowser does is different. The accpt header sent must be different!
03:00:14 [timbl]
I had to tweak the ine in the about:config to get the tabulator fetch to return RDF.

It won't let one change the content-type, and takes no notice if you change the return status to 200.

DanC, I was wonder if you had the time to take a quick look at http://dig.csail.mit.edu/2007/Papers/AIMagazine/fractal-paper.pdf
21:33:24 [DanC]
hmm... .pdf and "quick look" don't go so well together ;-)
21:34:52 [DanC]
at a glance, it reminds me of the TCO slide. http://dig.csail.mit.edu/2007/Papers/AIMagazine/fractal-paper.pdf

Sorry about the pdf.
21:35:55 [DanC]
well, it's not just the format; it's the genre that sorta requires a quiet room and such

kinda broad and sweeping. looks like tim's style. what do you think of it, lkagal ?
21:39:03 [DanC]
I've written stuff like that with tim on occasion; I struggle to let so many claims go unsupported.
21:39:36 [lkagal]
I would have liked it to be more specific (more citations and such)
21:42:04 [DanC]
what's the audience/forum? oh... AI magazine? so it's not exactly a research paper?
21:42:05 [lkagal]
However, the article is for a magazine not a journal or conf
21:43:10 [DanC]
I can imagine tightening up the prose and organization quite a bit, but that would probably triple the amount of work.
21:43:20 [DanC]
The magazine editor will probably take a whack at it, yes?
21:45:28 [DanC]
that DesignIssues note has a nice Jon Kleinberg citation; I don't see that in the AI magazine piece.
21:46:26 [DanC]
there are a couple other solid-looking references, if you're in the market

I'm still here, thought you'd need more time to look thru the paper, so I was doing something else.
21:50:16 [DanC]
I'm a little low on sleep today; not sure I have sustained attention for a thorough read
21:50:50 [lkagal]
The paper has been reviewed and the reviewers thought that the TCO firgure was not relevant.
21:51:51 [lkagal]
I had meant to add the Kleinberg citation, thanks for reminding me.
