presbrey, could update multi-graphs from say a TriG file, but more likely to make simultaneous updates to a bunch of graphs
00:54:39 [ericP]
say graph <users> has user accounts and graph <acls> has what they're allowed to do, adding a permission would likely hit both

Sandro, is there a specific date for the announcement of RIF-BLD spec or is it still some more 2-3 months of time?
18:10:59 [sandro]
what do you mean by "spec", fturkmen? Do you mean when will it be completely done, a W3C Recommendation?
18:11:15 [fturkmen]
yes
18:11:42 [fturkmen]
not in the form of a working draft but an official W3C rec.
18:12:27 [sandro]
there are several stages between Working Draft and Recommendation. Do are you looking for?
18:13:18 [jambo]
jambo (n=Jambo@31-33-150.wireless.csail.mit.edu) has joined #dig
18:13:26 [sandro]
er, "What exactly are you looking for?"
18:15:16 [fturkmen]
I will just state it in a paper in the form like it is expected to be announced in the next (three months) or so
18:18:28 [sandro]
I guess you can say November 2009, but I don't know what "it" is supposed to be. Many people don't need to wait for it to be a Rec.
18:19:13 [fturkmen]
I see, thanks
18:19:43 [sandro]
Hopefully we'll have Candidate Recommendation by Sept 1, and that may be good enough for a lot of people.
18:20:32 [fturkmen]
is that for BLD only or there will be others (Core, PRD)
18:20:35 [fturkmen]
?
18:20:39 [sandro]
all are together now.
18:21:07 [fturkmen]
ok thanx

hey Pipian re:hg would the following deb package work -- http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/Download#Linux_.28.deb.29?
20:04:35 [oshani]
Garrett wants to know which debian package he should install so that we can have an hg repo for Tabulator

21:01:40 [oshani]
should we ask him to install it? or should we wait until you do the foaf+ssl hacks?
21:02:47 [sophiayakoubov]

21:03:50 [Pipian]
I tihnk it will work straight off. Authentication used straight up AuthUserFile and AuthType Basic.
21:04:20 [Pipian]
So I think it will work iwth mod_authz_foaf_ssl without modification
21:04:36 [Pipian]
Provided we can set something similar
21:06:28 [timbl]
http://www4.wiwiss.fu-berlin.de/dblp/page/record/journals/computer/Berners-Lee96
21:10:13 [oshani]
hmmm Pipian according to the documentation here there are 3 ways of committer authentication:
21:10:14 [oshani]
http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/MultipleCommitters
21:18:03 [Pipian]
Hmm, may need hackery, forgot that allow_push uses htpasswd's virtual users.
21:19:00 [Pipian]
Best plan would be to get it up ASAP and then hack together an alternate package once it's tested?
21:20:39 [timbl]
"The repository will be shared via a webserver cgi-script, which also allows pushing. The security is webserver security. See HgWebDirStepByStep for general setup details. "
21:20:53 [timbl]
yes get it up ASAP and see what you can hack sounds good
21:20:56 [Pipian]
http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/HgWebDirStepByStep#Allow_pushing_to_the_repository
21:21:11 [Pipian]
That alludes to the virtual-users-via-htpasswd issue.
21:23:27 [timbl]
yes
21:23:54 [timbl]
allow_push = frodo, sam, http://www.w3.org/People/Berners-Lee/card#i
21:23:59 [timbl]
?
21:24:30 [Pipian]
Well, that would be the way to do it in the end
21:24:47 [Pipian]
I'm just not sure it'd be supported out of the box with mod_authn/z_foafssl
21:25:26 [Pipian]
Ah
21:25:39 [Pipian]
Does mod_authn/z_foafssl popularte REMOTE_USER?
21:25:48 [Pipian]
If so, then it will work out of the box.
21:26:10 [Pipian]
http://selenic.com/repo/hg-stable/file/b81baf9e4dd6/mercurial/hgweb/hgweb_mod.py#l281
21:26:16 [Pipian]
and http://selenic.com/repo/hg-stable/file/b81baf9e4dd6/mercurial/hgweb/hgweb_mod.py#l313
21:27:03 [Pipian]
Otherwise, we just need to hack mod_authn/z_foafssl to populate the REMOTE_USER variable.
21:28:03 [presbrey]
authn populates REMOTE_USER
21:30:04 [Pipian]
Then it should work out of the box.
21:31:11 [Pipian]
(With appropriate configuration)
21:32:02 [oshani]
okay sounds good :) -- so, I'll tell Garrett to install hg 0.9.1 for us
21:34:31 [Pipian]
Just checked the 0.9.1 tagged version, and it also uses REMOTE_USER to compare users, so it should work fine.
21:51:00 [oshani]
hey Pipian, so hg is now installed on the groups server
21:51:03 [oshani]
oshani@groups:~$ hg --version
