- 16:03:15 [GitHub118]
- [13data.fm] 15deiu created 06ldp (+1 new commit): 02http://git.io/UJ_l5g
- 16:03:15 [GitHub118]
- 13data.fm/06ldp 14fced1e4 15deiu: Added basic LDP support for creating LDPC/LDPR through POST.
- 16:17:02 [webr3]
- deiu, might it be an idea for save() to have some functionality in there which throws an exception or exit with a non 201 code or some such if there's no where to save or the path can't be reached
- 16:18:21 [webr3]
- ... also the rewrite rule perhaps should only apply to state changing requests (PATCH/POST etc) and specify which code to use in the redirect

- webr3, yup
- 16:34:26 [deiu]
- I'm just pushing the current version to have a backup :-)
- 16:34:36 [deiu]
- there's a lot there that will change
- 16:36:08 [deiu]
- I should also compile a list of LDP design issues I'm running into
- 17:04:39 [bblfish]
- bblfish has quit (Remote host closed the connection)
- 17:04:51 [webr3]
- yeah that would be great, I should do the same thing really
- 17:05:22 [webr3]
- I'd already sketched out something LDP like from my own stuff and data.fm, http://openetherpad.org/gfT1MpZ9Qf (level 1)
- 17:05:54 [webr3]
- may be worth having a scan over, and dropping any feedback, especially if it's inline with your own thinking on what a generic rww data space should be
- 17:10:02 [deiu]
- I'll have a look at it :-)

- what exactly is meant by 'decentralized' in DIG?
- 21:54:15 [amy]
- deiu?
- 21:54:29 [amy]
- using my-profile.eu
- 21:55:08 [deiu]

- anytime :)
- 22:09:29 [jorash]
- deiu, do you know what is meant by decentralized in DIG? Something like p2p distribution?
- 22:10:16 [jorash]
- clients and servers as arbitrary distinctions?
- 22:14:02 [deiu]
- jorash, yes, that's the idea
- 22:15:43 [jorash]
- thanks, so then DIG is directly concerned with making that the new paradigm for the web?
- 22:25:13 [deiu]
- you could just check out the link in the topic :-)
- 22:43:35 [jorash]
- just did... trying to the philosophical/technical core of the group. decentralized information implies no central index if you're looking for a given object, which implies linear search time in a massive network, which implies impractical inefficiency. you guys would probably be advantaged by linking up more closely with the quantum computing people since they're concerned with solving that problem
- 22:43:35 [jorash]
- -- beyond simply theory.
- 22:44:10 [jorash]
- and you're group is less theory more practise
- 22:44:22 [jorash]
- *your :)
- 22:46:42 [jorash]
- From the website: "How can linking across scientific databases promote research?" ...
- 23:02:19 [amy]
- presbrey? is a time set for your big data poster presentation tomorrow?
- 23:03:57 [presbrey]
- I believe poster session starts at 4pm
- 23:04:14 [presbrey]
- waiting for printer to spool now
