The Semantic Web Widget Library was originally produced between June 2009 and June 2010 by Jim Hollenbach at DIG as part of his Master of Engineering Thesis. Jim originally worked on Tabulator with his advisor, Tim Berners-Lee, during the summer months of 2006. Tabulator has since grown into a Firefox Extension. The original inspiration of the widget library was to extend the same capabilities provided within the privileged environment of Tabulator Extension to developers creating Web applications.
